Brotherhood trio triumphs over teammates

Brotherhood ‘A’ Triumph in All-Club Final at Alfreton Snooker Club
It was an all-Brotherhood ‘A’ affair last night at Alfreton Snooker Club, as teammates from the YM Club in Clay Cross faced off in a tense and entertaining final of the Alfreton SC Team of Three competition.
With bragging rights on the line, the defending champions — led by Jonathan Hall — were determined to retain their title, even if it meant toppling their own clubmates. Hall set the tone early with a solid 40 break against Darren Mosley to give his side a 1–0 lead.
Rob Mulliss quickly responded for the challengers, showing fine form with a 49 break to defeat Dave Wilkinson and level the match. The next two frames were shared, leaving the score finely poised and hinting at a potential final-frame decider.
The pivotal fifth frame saw Mulliss continue his strong performance, crafting another 40+ break. However, late drama unfolded as the frame tightened. Wilkinson clawed his way back, needing a snooker to stay in contention. Mulliss looked to have sealed it with the pot on the pink — only to see the cue ball agonisingly drop into the middle pocket. Wilkinson pounced, potting the pink, and a tense safety exchange followed on the black. Under mounting pressure, Mulliss held his nerve to finally sink the black and restore the lead.
With the clock nearing 11pm and just one frame required to seal victory, captain Kieron Stevenson stepped up. Drawing on his years of experience, he closed out the final frame in composed fashion to secure a well-earned win for his trio of players.
In true sportsmanlike fashion, the Brotherhood teammates congratulated each other warmly before the trophy was presented to the victors.
