Season Finale Showdowns at Alfreton SC

Handicap, Premier & Harry Anderson trophies.

As we near the end of an action-packed snooker season, only a handful of prestigious finals remain. The spotlight now turns to the last three events of the Triple Crown series: the Harry Anderson Memorial Trophy, the Alfreton SC Premier Competition, and the Alfreton SC Handicap Competition.

Harry Anderson Memorial Trophy Final

Gary Scott vs David Birley
📅 Tuesday 27th May
🕢 7:30 PM
📍 Alfreton SC

Gary Scott heads into this final brimming with confidence, fresh from his Division One final win and a stellar debut season in the Chesterfield & District Snooker League. However, standing in his way is the formidable David Birley—one of the league’s most accomplished players—aiming to win the Harry Anderson Trophy on his first attempt. A victory here would see Birley complete the coveted Triple Crown.

Alfreton SC Premier Competition Final

David Birley vs James Harrison
📅 Thursday 29th May
🕢 7:30 PM
📍 Alfreton SC

This match is a rematch of the 2019 final in what is widely regarded as the league’s flagship event. James Harrison, the 2016 champion and a Triple Crown winner, is aiming for his second Premier title. On the other side, David Birley—top of the Premier Division player standings this season—is chasing a remarkable sixth Premier title, which would see him equal the legendary records of Martin Finnigan and Mike Watterson.

Alfreton SC Handicap Competition Final

Dave Bolton vs Dean Hancock
📅 Tuesday 3rd June
🕢 7:30 PM
📍 Alfreton SC

Dave Bolton, last season’s Harry Anderson champion, is looking to add another Triple Crown trophy to his collection—this time in the Handicap competition. Capping off an impressive year in which his team clinched the Premier Division title, Bolton is in top form. His opponent, Dean Hancock, may play two divisions below, but he's had a standout season—reaching the Harry Anderson semi-finals and finishing runner-up in the Division Two Masters. Now, he's eyeing his first major individual title.

Best of luck to all the finalists as the curtain falls on another fantastic season. Spectators are warmly welcomed—come along and support the players in these exciting finale events!
